About Jaya Prayas
Since its founding in 2012, Jaya Prayas Help Foundation (JPHF) has played a major role in the transformation of over 500+ children across different age groups. The Foundation reaches out to over 500 less privilege children, youth and women through various Development projects in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Today, JPHF directly benefits 150+ children daily from slum areas in / around Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and Dehradun. The team of volunteers dedicate their time, resources and skills in reaching out to the less privilege section of society and strives to meaningfully impact their lives.
In Ghaziabad, this team provides free education to children at Avantibai Park (Hathi Park), Niti Khand-1, Indirapuram everyday between 9.30am – 1.00pm through a structured syllabus approach. The objective is to “prepare” them to be “suitable” for admission in government / public / private schools and be part of the mainstream education. The approach at Dehradun, is also same except that the classes are held in the evening.
Today, more than 8 million children in India do not go to school. They live in poverty, illness and misery, fighting a daily battle to survive. At Jaya Prayas Help Foundation, we firmly believe that education is the means to create opportunities and possibilities to sustain any individual’s survival. Undoubtedly, education is the most powerful tool for social transformation and a child can go to school only if the family supports the child. Our volunteers constantly talk to families especially mothers whose involvement is critical to a child’s overall grooming.
We believe that unless members of the civil society are involved proactively to make a difference, sustainable change will cease to exist. Please come forward and help.
